Welcome to the Medtronic Remote Monitoring program! We are excited to have you as a valued customer and look forward to assisting you in optimizing your experience with your new MyCareLink Heart™ App. Let's run through some steps on how to properly set up your MyCareLink Heart™ App.
How do I set up the MyCareLink Heart™ (MCL-H) application (app) on my iPhone, iPad, or Android device (i.e. smartphone, tablet)?
Before starting, check the following items:
Select Apple or Android smartphones and tablets are compatible with the MyCareLink Heart™ App .
iOS: Does you have an active Apple App Store account and Apple ID? This is required to install, "Get", the app.
Android: Do you have an active Google Play Store account? This is required to install the app.
There are 2 different ways to install the app:
Go to www.mclheart.com, tap Download, thentap Get on Apple app Store or Install on Google Play
Open Apple store or Google Play Store and search for the "MyCareLink Heart™ App "app, thentap Get on Apple app Store or Install on Google Play.
Follow the instructions on the phone or tablet to complete the app installation.
Ensure your mobile device has an internet connection. Cellular data or Wi-Fi connectivity must be enabled and connected. It may be necessary to switch between Wi-Fi and cellular to get a successful connection.
Pair the app and the pacemaker via Bluetooth. Select “Allow” in the Bluetooth permissions dialog that will pop-up. If you accidentally select “Don’t Allow”, perform one of the two procedures to enable Bluetooth permissions.
Navigate to Settings->Privacy->Bluetooth and toggle to enable (green) for MyCareLink Heart™ App .
Navigate to Settings->MCL-H and toggle to enable (green) the Bluetooth setting.
You will be directed to your personal email or text message to verify their email address. Click the "Verify Email" button in the email on your phone to be directed back to the app.
Log into the app by entering a valid email address and password to proceed to the app home screen.
Do you know your username and password?
If yes, Sign into MyCareLink Heart™ App . Pair the app and the pacemaker via Bluetooth. (Follow prompt on the app). Keep the monitor least 15cm (6 inches) away and not farther than 3 Ft. of the device and connected to Wi-Fi or cellular data for at least 3 hours after setup, if possible. You may receive one these screens after setup. If the transmission does not complete after this screen has been displayed for more than 3 hours, check the cellular or Wi-Fi connection, and check for other Bluetooth or electrical interference near the phone and implanted device.
MyCareLink Heart for LINQ II displays differently than Pacemaker and ICDs. The home screen for LINQ II does not have my vitals, physical activity, or My Transmissions tiles.
If no, use the Forgot Password link. If still unsuccessful, please contact Medtronic Stay Connected at (866)-470-7709.
If you get a message that says: “Your enrollment is almost complete.” No further action needs to be taken. If you receive "Your Clinic Needs To Complete Enrollment" message please contact Medtronic Stay Connected at (866)-470-7709.
Are you enrolled on MyCareLink Connect?
If yes, use the same login credentials to login to MyCareLink Heart™ App .
If no, Click sign up for new users. Follow the prompts for setup. If patient receives “Account Not Created” message
Select the location of your clinic and check the box that says, “I acknowledge that Medtronic will store and process my heart device information on behalf of the clinic that follows my heart device.”
Patient will enter their name and a valid email address and password on the appropriate app screens.
Enter SN on the app screen. If entered incorrectly 5 times the account will be locked.
Are you enrolled on MyCareLink Connect?
If yes, use the same login credentials to login to MyCareLink Heart™ App .
If no, Click sign up for new users. Follow the prompts for setup.

Troubleshooting
If you get a message that says: “Your enrollment is almost complete.” No further action needs to be taken. If you receive "Your Clinic Needs To Complete Enrollment" message please contact Medtronic Stay Connected at (866)-470-7709.
If you receive “Account Not Created” message:
Select the location of your clinic and check the box that says, “I acknowledge that Medtronic will store and process my heart device information on behalf of the clinic that follows my heart device.”
Enter your name and a valid email address and password on the appropriate app screens.
Enter SN on the app screen. If entered incorrectly 5 times the account will be locked.
Check that the Background App Refresh setting is enabled. Tap Settings > MyCareLink Heart, and enable the Background App Refresh setting.
Bluetooth is turned On, AND
Device is within three feet of the implant as often as possible each day. (ie, sleep with smart device powered on near patient or anytime throughout the day.) Keep it with you as often as you can for more consistent monitoring, as long as it is stays connected to cellular or Wi-Fi. If using with iPad or tablet, feel free to leave it at home. There is no need to carry it unless travelling for more than one day.
For LINQ II implants, the MyCareLink Heart™ App will send the auto transmissions and alerts as with any other implant. However, the app will not send an initial transmission and patients will not have the ability to send manual transmissions. Patients can use the MyCareLink Heart™ App as a patient assistant.
